Date
19 November 2025 / 2pm-3:30pm
Venue
Jacqueline du Pré Music Building

We are delighted to welcome St Hilda's alumna Katty Kay (Modern Languages, 1984), award-winning author, broadcaster and podcast host, as she reflects on a seismic year since President Trump was re-elected.

Katty is co-host of the hugely popular podcast The Rest is Politics US alongside Anthony Scaramucci, and appears weekly on MSNBC’s Morning Joe talk show. Her career has featured a number of roles within the BBC, including BBC News and BBC World, and is currently US Special Correspondent for BBC Studios, working across documentaries, podcasts and news. She has anchored the Corporation’s US Election Night coverage in 2016 and 2020, as well as President Biden’s inauguration in 2021.

Katty lives in Washington, D.C., and we are delighted that her visit to St Hilda’s will give students, alumnae, and friends the opportunity to hear from—and engage with—a leading expert on U.S. politics. Drawing on her experience as a frontline journalist covering the White House, she is sure to offer fascinating insights.

This is a free event, but admission will be by ticket only, with a maximum of two tickets per booking.

Alumnae booking is now sold out for this event, but please do email us if you'd like to be added to the waiting list. We will also share a livestream of the event on the night for those who cannot attend.
