Acclaimed for the poetic intensity and radiant clarity of her performances, Yuko Sano made her concerto debut aged 15 with the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, having given her first international solo performance in Salzburg at the age of 8. For her debut at the International Piano Series, Yuko is bringing a programme worthy of Vladimir Horowitz that builds towards the magnificent Bach/Busoni ‘Chaconne’. The concert will also include the two winning entries from the recent Oxford-Japan Composition Prize by two exciting emerging composers, Jacques Allen and Richard Meehan.
