
The University of Buckingham has named Dr Ann Dowker, Lecturer in Psychology at St Hilda's College, as an Honorary Visiting Professor within its Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.
Dr Ann Dowker is a developmental psychologist at the University of Oxford whose research focuses on mathematical development, individual differences in arithmetic, and mathematics anxiety. She is the author of Individual Differences in Arithmetic (2005; 2019) and co-editor of several key volumes, including the Oxford Handbook of Numerical Cognition (2015). She leads the Catch Up Numeracy intervention programme for children with mathematical difficulties and collaborates internationally on projects linking psychology, education, and community engagement.
