Biography
Athena Ko is a wellness entrepreneur, philanthropist and investor. She is the founder of The Gong Girl, which pioneers the use of sound meditation in the wellness industry. Prior, Athena has a long established career in finance and is a founding member of Portland Capital, backed by Sir Ronald Cohen, Lord Jacob Rothschild and Sir Harry Solomon. She currently sits on the Board of a single family office and oversees its global multi-asset investment strategy and philanthropic initiatives. She is an ardent advocate in climate, education and mental health issues. Educated in Hong Kong, UK and US, Athena holds an MA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Oxford University and a Masters of Business Administration from Harvard Business School. Athena Ko was nominated to Foundation Fellow status at St Hilda’s College on 30th April.
